Lev Poliakov was born in St. Petersburg, Russia and left in the 70’s for America. He currently lives in New York City and is a professor of photography at New York Institute of Technology.
Lev is very passionate about photography and tries to bring awareness of art in photography through his lectures which he presented at Columbia, NYU, George Washington, Vanderbilt and Amherst universities.
He worked with Jacques Cousteau and was part of the Middletown project with Peter Davis at PBS.
His photographs have been exhibited around the world and are part of private collections.
